Laptop with a hybrid GPU?
Make sure ViRTUE runs on the dedicated graphics card, not the integrated one. Otherwise the frame rate may drop during the patient visit.
Updates
Steam updates ViRTUE automatically in the background whenever Steam is connected to the internet.
With a dedicated Wi-Fi router and no internet
If you use a separate Wi-Fi router solely for wireless video streaming between the headset and PC (the recommended setup), your PC is not connected to the internet during training. In this case, ViRTUE and SteamVR must be updated manually before use:
- Disconnect the LAN cable between the PC and the video-streaming router.
- Connect the PC to the internet (for example, over your regular Wi-Fi).
- Open Steam and wait until all pending updates for ViRTUE and SteamVR have downloaded.
- Disconnect the internet connection again.
- Plug the LAN cable back into the video-streaming router.
- Now follow the guide under Start ViRTUE.
