## Create a Steam account

**In the browser**

1. Create a free Steam account at [store.steampowered.com/join](https://store.steampowered.com/join).

## Download and install Steam

**In the browser**

1. Download the Steam client for Windows: [store.steampowered.com/about](https://store.steampowered.com/about).
2. Run the downloaded installer file and follow the installer's instructions.

## Sign in to Steam

**On your PC**

1. Open Steam on your PC and sign in with your Steam account.
